Social Action & Outreach
All Faiths - A place where people work together to to build the world we dream of.
Social Outreach Programs
supported by All Faiths throughout the community and the world:
Donations of food and clothing are collected on the 3rd Sunday of each month. The clinic supports HIV/AIDS patients and their families, regardless of their ability to pay.
Lee County Interfaith for Empowerment (LIFE): All Faiths, along with other Lee County congregations, belong to LIFE. This group of diverse religions comes together to build a powerful organization which is capable of negotiating the interests of the community. The LIFE organization is committed to promoting justice.
Animal Shelters Collections
We donate food and supplies collected on months with a 5th Sunday to local animal shelters.
Mano a Mano
This organization was founded by All Faiths members Segundo and Joan Velasquez in 1974 and is dedicated to improving health and economic conditions in rural Bolivia where farmers exist on less than $1 a day. Mano a Mano builds roads, schools, reservoirs and hundreds of clinics in partnership with local residents.
With the generous donations from our Congregation, Operation Joy provides basic need items to children by supporting local charities on their various drives.
Meals of Hope
The Mission of Meals of Hope is “To inspire and empower communities to come together to end hunger.”
All Faiths Teams
formed to address social action issues
Mission: Educate ourselves and others about the impact of climate change on the Earth and join with others in protecting our environment and the future sustainability of life on our planet by altering human practices that are causing or contributing to climate change. Contact Joan Marshall for more information.
Racial Equity Team
Mission: Dismantle white supremacy by inviting and encouraging social outreach and action to bring justice, equity and compassion to our congregation, our community, and the world. We are allies to people of color and partner with marginalized communities on a journey toward wholeness. Contact Nicole Racine or Frank Geltner for more information.
The Rainbow Connection
Mission: Where people of diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and allies come together in an atmosphere of mutual support to share information of events, services and opportunities for social justice and action within our community. We will meet regularly online and/or in-person, as situations and our conscience dictates. Contact Greg Monk or Cameron Anholt for more information.
